History kept in the present tense.
Mahindra's story is inseparable from the story of a changing India. Founded in 1945, two years before independence, the organisation has grown from a modest start into a global group spanning industries, geographies and generations. The challenge was to hold this history without making it feel finished.
The journey began with a conversation in 1995, when people who had worked closely with the founders recalled stories rather than statistics. What endured was the human texture of the organisation, its choices, values, risks and reasons for moving forward. Twenty-seven years later, those stories became a space.
The spaces
The Interspace opens the journey, its red wall and reflective surfaces creating infinite depth within a compressed room. From here, the museum moves through ideas rather than chronology. The Force brings the 'Rise' philosophy to life through an ever-expanding banyan tree, each branch a business, each root a value. The Big Bang places Mahindra's beginnings alongside the making of modern India, while Stars in Our Sky maps the businesses and geographies that followed. Hyperspace treats innovation as a habit of mind before Beyond Time and Space carries the visitor toward what comes next, and the Multiverse leaves that future open for ideas, exhibitions and launches still to come.
Still being written
Artists responded to real stories through chalk figurines, kinetic sculpture and digital tools that keep evolving. The museum now also inducts new employees into Mahindra through its history and purpose. It stays a living document because the organisation has never stood still.
